Thanks for writing, Joshua!! Yours is the first blog since we set all 23 blogs up last Thursday. I'm very pleased that you can say now that you appreciate the contrast between work here and your last 3 years at UW. I predict there will come times when you may tire of "being taught by your colleagues" (January often involves heaps of student presentations), but for now it all sounds good. Also very pleased that you found it useful to revisit your time in the private school--I expect you've seen the full range of what teenage boys like to get up to!
Interesting that you are into reflective assignments already, when you have so little to reflect about, other than the first 12 days here. Some people call those assignments "fluff" because it seems that you can write anything and be "right." Nice point that it feels like high school with a difference. I'd be happy to skim your book report if you are willing to push it my way as an attachment.
Thanks again for getting me started on a year of blogging!
Tom
